Adante Hotel Lobby - San Francisco
The Adante is a very popular and affordable hotel conveniently
located in the heart of San Francisco. Rooms go for as low as $75
per night, and the hotel offers great online special room rates.
For the price and location, the Adante's hotel rooms are
average-sized, which is not very large. Of course the tradeoff is
that you are just three blocks from
Union Square, and
only one block from the theatre district. The staff is particularly
helpful and ready to arrange
airport shuttles,
San Francisco city tours, and offers advice on the many attractions
around San Francisco. Try visiting the nearby TIX booth that offers
half-price tickets for same-day shows. The Adante is also nearby
other landmarks that
have made San Francisco famous, including the cable cars,
Museum of Modern Art,
and Chinatown.

When your stomach begins to growl, there are plenty of fine dining
options close by, including the
organic/vegan restaurant Millennium, as well as dozens of
authentic "cheap-eats" so ubiquitous in San Francisco-
Mexican taquerías,
Thai bistros, 24-hour
diners, and Indian/Pakistani restaurants. Like all the hotels in this
area, you will find yourself near the Tenderloin district, and though
it offers good food at
inexpensive prices, it is not one of the finest areas of the city.
As any local or hotel staff will tell you, stray east whenever
leaving your hotel. There is plenty of public transportation as well,
including buses, tramlines, and the BART train, which you can use to
visit Berkeley or to
get to/from the
San
Francisco Airport (SFO).
Adante Hotel - Room Bathroom
The hotel also provides a complimentary buffet continental
breakfast each morning served in the lobby, which itself is quite
beautifully adorned with murals. The in-house café and bar is called
24fps, taking its name from the 24 frames-per-second film rate that
most Hollywood films are shot in. The café hosts an inexpensive happy
hour daily where you can try local beers or gourmet coffee drinks.
