Adante Hotel
The Adante is an very popular and affordable hotel conveniently
located in the heart of San Francisco. Rooms go for as low as $75
per night, and the hotel offers great online special room rates.
The uniqueness of the Adante is in its hand-painted murals, which
are to be found all throughout the hotel, from the main lobby, to
the hallways, and most distinctively, in all the guest rooms. Each
floor is painted with a different theme (such as sea life,
mountainscapes, and more....), which adds charm and levity to the
hotel. Guests find that this little touch goes a long way to making
their stay in San Francisco a special experience.
Adante Hotel Room
All of the Adante's 93 guestrooms are non-smoking, and come
standard with amenities that you'd expect from this class of hotel:
ample closet space, a personal safe, and coffeemaker with
complimentary coffee and tea. The Adante caters mostly to tourists and
business people, and offers such niceties as high-speed Internet
access in every room. For those without their own computer, there are
also computer terminals available for rent in the 24fps café on the
first floor of the hotel. There are also larger suites and deluxe
rooms available with plush carpeting, fine furniture, and more space.
When your stomach begins to growl, there are plenty of fine dining
options close by, including the
organic/vegan restaurant Millennium, as well as dozens of
authentic "cheap-eats" so ubiquitous in San Francisco-
Mexican taquerías,
Thai bistros, 24-hour
diners, and Indian/Pakistani restaurants. Like all the hotels in this
area, you will find yourself near the Tenderloin district, and though
it offers good food at
inexpensive prices, it is not one of the finest areas of the city.
As any local or hotel staff will tell you, stray east whenever
leaving your hotel. There is plenty of public transportation as well,
including buses, tramlines, and the BART train, which you can use to
visit Berkeley or to
get to/from the
San
Francisco Airport (SFO).
