Carlton

Ken writes , "We stayed at the
Carlton Hotel. It was a nice old hotel, quite clean,
staff very freindly and helpful, however, I would never stay there
again. Too noisy. My wife and I heard someone wrapping presents
at 2 in the morning in the next room! Paper thin walls. We moved
twice, and eventually were transferred to the top floor..."

writes , "This is a great hotel for those
who are looking for a good deal-- the rates are still pretty reasonable.
The rooms are clean, roomy and very well appointed. The lobby
is old fashioned, a bit dated and maybe not very stylish but
it is comfortable and inviting, this is an older hotel.
The staff is VERY friendly and helpful, room service is only
available during restaurant hours. There is a complimentary
limo service from the hotel to the Financial District from 730am
to 930am daily and valet
parking for $30/day / self-park is $25/day"

writes , "We found it to be a very friendly
place at a great value. The people are very helpful and are
readily available to offer travel advice. The rooms are somewhat
small, but nice. My only complaint was that they forgot to
give us a wake up call twice but they took $85 of our bill for that
mistake. They gave us free wine and champagne because it was
our honeymoon at no extra cost."
Typical recent prices ranged from $100 - $125 per night with
discounted online reservation services.
