San
Francisco Review

King George Hotel
334
Mason @ Geary
A small hotel with an English feel very close to Union Square shopping.
The Windsor room serves a continental breakfast and afternoon tea-time
in the English style.
Anthony
writes, "Spent our anniversary there over this past Memorial
Day Weekend. While room was smaller than we like (about the same
size as NY NY Casino in Las Vegas, the service is second to none!
King George's promo material claims fine Europeon Service and they
deliver!
I
arranged a "Romance Package" which includes some niceties
such as: Chilled Sparkling wine, box of truffles, Single rose, various
certificates for discounts shopping, 1 day pass on Muni Transportatation,
breakfasts at the hotel, afternoon tea certificates and so forth.
While the package was not supposed to include the included breakfast
as room service, I called down to front desk and was told "no
problem, I can do that for you," 15 minutes later it was at
the room!! Same with Sunday paper! Highly recommend this hotel,
it is in a great area, found couple of nice places for drinks, and
of course close to all Union Square area has to offer."
Typically
priced around $150-$180 per night (February 2001)
